Project Management
The controlled management of any project is taken very seriously by AST. That’s why we have introduced the PRINCE2 process to all new projects. PRINCE2 - Projects in Controlled Environments - is a process-based method for effective project management.
PRINCE2 is the standard used extensively by the UK Government & is widely recognised & used in the private sector, both in the UK & internationally. Due to its success many commercial businesses globally are now using its principles.
The PRINCE2 method is in the public domain, offering non-proprietary best practice guidance on project management. PRINCE2 is a registered trademark of OGC.
The key features of PRINCE2 are:
- Focus on business justification
- Defined organisation structure for the project management team
- Product-based planning approach
- Emphasis on dividing the project into manageable & controllable stages
- Flexibility to be applied at a level appropriate to the project
PRINCE was established in 1989 by CCTA (the Central Computer & Telecommunications Agency), since renamed the OGC (the Office of Government Commerce).
Working with PRINCE2 & our ISO standards of controlling projects, our project managers not only manage the team & the design they are assigned too, but are passionate to deliver anything AST produces within time, budget & to exceed expectations.
